Alternative Bridging Corporation launches commercial mortgage subsidiary ACM

Alternative Bridging Corporation has launched a new subsidiary, Alternative Commercial Mortgages (ACM), offering long-term commercial mortgage products for brokers and their clients. The new lender will cover commercial, semi-commercial and residential buy-to-let (BTL) properties.

Alternative Bridging Corporation announced the launch of ACM on 15 September 2026. The subsidiary has been established to provide long-term commercial mortgage products, expanding beyond the bridging finance for which the parent firm is known.

What ACM will offer

ACM's loans will cover a wide range of property types, including offices, industrial and warehouse units, retail and mixed-use premises, as well as residential investment properties.

Loan terms will range from five to 30 years, with lending available up to 75% loan to value (LTV).

Broker support

Alternative Bridging Corporation said it has dedicated a team of regionally based internal business development managers (BDMs) to work with brokers from application through to drawdown.

What it means for brokers

Jonathan Rubins, director and chief commercial officer at Alternative Bridging Corporation, said commercial-term lending does not need to be complicated, noting that brokers can face numerous product options and conditions that make it difficult to establish quickly what a lender can and cannot do for their client.

Rubins said ACM has been designed to remove as much of that complexity as possible, combining straightforward product options with flexible underwriting and clear communication. He also said the firm is bringing the same practical, case-by-case approach that brokers know from Alternative Bridging into longer-term commercial lending.

For letting agents and inventory clerks, the launch adds a new lending option in the commercial and mixed-use space, property types that increasingly feature in lettings portfolios, and may expand financing routes for clients with residential and semi-commercial investments.
