AMI and IMLA Call for Industry Feedback on ED&I Survey

AMI and IMLA are urging mortgage and protection professionals across the UK to take part in the 2026 Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) Viewpoint survey before it closes on Friday 29 May. Industry leaders have emphasised that broad participation is essential for the research to drive meaningful change.

The survey is being delivered through the Working in Mortgages initiative and aims to provide a benchmark for measuring how the industry has evolved over the past five years. According to the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries, the 2021 ED&I Viewpoint survey highlighted that many in the industry were experiencing issues that colleagues and leaders did not fully understand, which led to important conversations and actions.

The 2026 survey is open to everyone working in the mortgage and protection sector, regardless of role or seniority. The findings are intended to inform future discussions and practical actions around recruitment, progression, workplace culture, and talent retention across the sector.

Industry leaders have stated that strong participation will ensure the findings are valuable and credible for the whole industry. The survey will close on 29 May.
