Aspen appoints four new graduates as intake reaches 26

Bridging lender Aspen has appointed four new alumni to its Graduate Recruitment Scheme (GRS), taking the intake to 26. The lender, which describes itself as having "aggressive" growth targets, says it is continuing to strengthen its team.

Who has joined

Cameron Ritchie has joined the business as an underwriter, with additional responsibility for data quality. Sofia Dantas has joined as Aspen's first dedicated marketing recruit and will formalise and develop the company's marketing activities.

Daniel Moore and Harvir Singh have both joined as trainee credit analysts.

All four will work towards Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accreditations in residential and commercial valuation methodology, a qualification set closely aligned to the work of valuers, inventory clerks and property professionals across the UK residential and commercial sectors.

A proven pipeline of talent

Aspen says many of its GRS alumni have progressed to senior positions, including Saif Khalique, who was recently promoted to director of underwriting at the lender.

Jack Coombs, chief operating officer at S&U PLC, Aspen's parent company, said: "Achieving our ambitious growth targets requires us to continue investing in talented people, and our GRS has established itself as a proven route in attracting bright, ambitious graduates and developing them into future leaders of the business."

What it means for the market

For letting agents and inventory clerks, graduates training towards RICS accreditation in residential and commercial valuation methodology point to continued investment in valuation skills within the specialist lending sector. Aspen presents its graduate pipeline, now at 26 alumni, as a structured route into underwriting and credit roles supporting its bridging business.
