Ben Nichols Appointed CEO of RAW Capital Partners as Tim Parkes Steps Down

Ben Nichols has been named CEO of RAW Capital Partners, following the decision by co-founder Tim Parkes to step down from the role. Parkes will remain closely involved with the specialist lending firm as a senior adviser and chair of the RAW Mortgage Fund board.

RAW Capital Partners was co-founded by Parkes in 2015. The firm initially focused on serving under-served borrowers, including UK expats, foreign nationals, and Channel Island trust companies investing in UK buy to let (BTL) through the RAW Mortgage Fund. At the end of 2025, RAW Capital Partners expanded its offering to include a mortgage proposition for UK residents.

In June of the previous year, the company marked its 10th anniversary by increasing its maximum loan-to-value (LTV) limit from 55% to 70%.

Ben Nichols joined RAW Capital Partners as CFO and became interim managing director at the beginning of 2024. He was named managing director in September 2024 and has led the business during periods when Parkes was away.

For UK letting agents and inventory clerks, the leadership change at RAW Capital Partners may be of interest due to the firm's focus on buy to let lending and its recent expansion to serve UK residents. The company’s increased LTV limit may also impact lending options for property investors and landlords.
