Bidwells and CoStar Group Announce Senior Appointments

Bidwells has appointed Scott Cabot as its new head of residential research. CoStar Group, owner of UK property portal OnTheMarket, has named Robin Rossmann as its new chief financial officer.

Scott Cabot joins Bidwells from CBRE, where he spent 12 years in the UK research team, most recently as head of residential research. His previous experience includes roles at London developer Aitch Group and in wealth management at Standard Chartered Bank and W1M. At Bidwells, Cabot will work with research director Sue Foxley and the wider research team, focusing on residential market analysis and strategic insight for clients. The firm stated that his work will examine the relationship between the UK’s science and technology sectors and demand in the residential property market.

Robin Rossmann has been appointed chief financial officer at CoStar Group, succeeding Christian Lown. Rossmann, currently managing director for Europe, will assume the role on 31 July and report to CoStar founder and chief executive Andy Florance. Over the past two years, Rossmann has led CoStar’s European operations, overseeing a reduction in the region’s cost base and launching the CoStar platform in France. He joined STR in 2016, which became part of CoStar Group in 2019, and has contributed to the company’s international expansion, acquisitions, and product launches. Prior to STR, Rossmann spent 13 years at Deloitte as a Senior Director advising real estate and hospitality companies.

These appointments are relevant to UK letting agents and inventory clerks as they reflect ongoing changes in leadership at major property firms, potentially influencing market analysis, research, and operational strategies within the sector.
