Cambridge & Counties Bank strengthens real estate team with two senior BDM hires

Cambridge & Counties Bank has appointed Ian Tudor and Mohinder Parmar as senior business development managers (BDMs) in its real estate finance team. Both will report to Paul Howard, regional director for the South at the specialist lender.

Who's joining and where they'll cover

Tudor joins from Redwood Bank, where he spent four years as a regional BDM covering the South region, supporting brokers with semi-commercial, buy-to-let (BTL) and house in multiple occupation (HMO) cases. Before that, he worked at NatWest as a BDM for 18 years. At Cambridge & Counties Bank, he will cover the South East and London regions.

Parmar brings 15 years of experience to the role, including more than four years as a specialist finance account manager at Interbay. During that time, he worked with brokers on commercial and semi-commercial cases, large portfolio BTL refinancing, purpose-built student accommodation and build-to-rent developments. He will support the team across London and the Midlands, with the bank describing London as a key growth area.

What the bank says

Paul Howard said the dynamic UK commercial property sector continues to offer excellent investment opportunities, particularly in markets such as the Midlands and London. He noted the bank has seen record demand for its property finance lending proposition and welcomed the two hires as it looks to expand its work with brokers and their clients.

In its full-year results for 2025, the bank reported a 50% lift in lending to a record £560m.

Why it matters for agents and clerks

For letting agents and inventory clerks working with HMOs, portfolio landlords and mixed-use properties, the appointments signal continued lender appetite in the complex BTL and semi-commercial space, particularly across London and the Midlands, where both new BDMs will operate.
