Finova Appoints Three Directors to Strengthen Manchester Hub

Finova, a cloud-based mortgage, savings and lending software provider, has appointed three directors to its Manchester hub to strengthen its presence in the city. The company reports that recruitment at its Manchester hub is now 80% complete.

Hemant Kumar has been named research and development director and will lead the development of Finova’s next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) engine. Kumar brings over 20 years of experience in technology modernisation across financial services, the public sector, and healthcare, and joins Finova from Accenture.

Pete Craven has been appointed director of dev-ops, responsible for leading Finova’s engineering team to build scalable cloud infrastructure for the company’s platform. Craven has more than 13 years of experience in cloud transformations and has held senior roles at technology consultancies and global firms, including Slaalum Build, Made Tech, Booking.com, and IMB.

Kelly Wilson joins as director of technical delivery, leading teams responsible for technical delivery across Finova’s engineering-supported product suite. Wilson has experience in financial services, consulting, and education, and most recently led Salesforce programmes at the London Stock Exchange Group. She has also worked in IT and communications for the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force for nearly 15 years.

All three directors will report to David Espley, chief technology officer. Finova stated that these appointments demonstrate its commitment to developing engineering talent in the UK, following a recent partnership with Makers Academy to bring eight early-career engineers into the business.

These developments may be of interest to UK letting agents and inventory clerks as Finova continues to expand its technology and AI capabilities, which could impact digital solutions in the property sector.
