Gen H Announces Senior Promotions as Pete Dockar Departs
Gen H has promoted three members of its senior team and confirmed the departure of chief commercial officer Pete Dockar. Dockar will leave at the end of September to join Principality Building Society.
Sara Palmer has been appointed chief distribution officer, Richard Leivers becomes chief lending officer, and Andrew Mackie is named chief financial officer. Palmer, previously sales and distribution director at Gen H since 2025, will now take responsibility for growth. Leivers, who joined Gen H in 2022 and was propositions director, will oversee the lending function and development of new propositions. Mackie, with Gen H since 2025, has led the transformation of the finance function and, as chief financial officer, will focus on expanding the lender’s capital market funding.
Pete Dockar, after four years at Gen H, will move to Principality Building Society to take up the newly created role of chief commercial officer. In this position, Dockar will oversee Principality’s savings, mortgages, branch network, and commercial lending businesses. The role will focus on improving commercial performance and using data and technology to enhance customer experience, as well as overseeing the branch network. Dockar previously held senior roles at HSBC and Virgin Money.
These changes may be of interest to UK letting agents and inventory clerks monitoring leadership shifts in the mortgage and lending sector, as they can impact lending practices and distribution strategies relevant to the property market.
