Hortons Launches AI-Powered Property Search Tool
Hortons, a self-employed estate agency platform, has launched an AI-powered search tool designed to streamline the property search process. According to the company, users can now find properties, moving information, and details of local agents through a single search function.
During a one-month beta period, Hortons reported that users carried out more than 14,000 searches using the new Intelligent Search tool. This figure does not include searches made through the website’s conventional property search.
The Intelligent Search tool delivers relevance-based results, moving beyond traditional postcode or area filters. Users are able to enter broader queries, such as “3-bedroom houses in [area],” or search for specific villages or roads. The results can include matching properties, moving information, and details of the relevant local Hortons agent. Standard property filters remain available for users who prefer traditional search methods.
Hortons launched its self-employed agency model in 2016. The company stated that Intelligent Search is part of a wider set of AI projects currently in development, with further enhancements to search functionality planned.
This development may be of interest to UK letting agents and inventory clerks, as it highlights ongoing technological advancements in property search and agency efficiency.
