Landlords' Average Rental Income Reaches Record £89,000: Pegasus Insight

Landlords’ average annual income has increased by £14,000 since the last quarter, reaching a record £89,000, according to analysis by Pegasus Insight. The findings are based on 631 interviews with members of the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA).

The research indicates that the average landlord portfolio is now valued at £1.69 million. Pegasus Insight also reports that average rental income is £16,000 higher than it was a year ago.

A separate tenant survey by Pegasus Insight found that the average renter has been in their current property for more than five years. Additionally, two-thirds of tenants plan to stay beyond the end of their original tenancy term.

The survey also revealed that 76% of tenants say they are satisfied with the service provided by their landlord or letting agent.

These findings may be particularly relevant for letting agents and inventory clerks, as they highlight trends in landlord income, tenant satisfaction, and tenancy duration within the UK private rented sector.
