LRG Completes Office Refurbishments with Focus on Sustainability

LRG has completed a programme of office refurbishments and relocations across its UK network, as part of a wider investment in more sustainable workplaces. The initiative has included a new headquarters, branch upgrades, and a commitment to sustainable design principles across all office projects.

The group’s new headquarters was selected for its environmental credentials and refurbished with an emphasis on retaining existing materials, reducing waste, and improving energy efficiency. The fit-out achieved a SKA Gold rating, and the building already held a BREEAM Excellent certification.

LRG has also completed several projects across its branch network. These include a new office in Sheffield, the relocation of its Derby lettings team, refurbishment of the Dunlop Heywood headquarters in Manchester, and upgrades to Glide’s office in Poole. Additionally, the Derby Pride Park operation has moved into a standalone office.

According to LRG, sustainable design principles are now being applied to all office projects, from major refurbishments to routine maintenance. Measures include reusing fixtures and furniture where possible, installing LED lighting, using sustainably sourced materials, and improving energy efficiency across its estate.

The refurbishment programme is set to continue throughout 2026, with further investment planned across the branch network. Upcoming projects include the opening of a new flagship office in Nottingham, a second flagship site in Southampton, and around 20 further office refurbishments. LRG also plans to introduce its first sustainable model offices for Chancellors following its acquisition of the business in 2025.

LRG stated that these projects are part of a longer-term strategy to incorporate sustainable building and refurbishment practices across its property estate while continuing to invest in its office network.
