Former Savills associate director joins Moveli
Mark Chick, formerly an associate director at Savills in Salisbury, has joined self-employed agency network Moveli to represent clients across Wiltshire and North Dorset.
Chick brings more than 25 years' estate agency experience spanning the London and country markets. His career includes senior roles at Bective Leslie Marsh in Notting Hill and, most recently, Savills in Salisbury. He also established and ran his own Wiltshire independent agency, Manningford Croft, which he sold in 2024 after 15 years.
Ben Littlewood, co-founder and co-CEO of Moveli, said the firm is seeing increasing numbers of experienced agents leave leading corporate estate agencies to join Moveli, which positions itself as an upper-market brokerage for an industry transitioning from the traditional high street agency model. He added that the firm expects the strong growth seen this year to continue through the autumn.
Moveli's national network now sits at almost 100 brokers, with an average of approximately 20 years' industry experience.
BidX1 appoints Darren Simpson as UK managing director
Digital auction firm BidX1 has appointed Darren Simpson, former Chancellors group operations director, as UK managing director as it targets expansion through acquisitions and agency partnerships.
Simpson joins with almost four decades of experience in residential property. He spent more than 16 years as group operations director and co-owner of Chancellors, helping grow the business to 58 branches before its sale to Leaders Romans Group in 2025. His previous roles include chief operating officer at Foxtons, managing director of Gascoigne Pees and Carson & Company for Countrywide, and European general manager for Dubai-based developer DAMAC Properties.
At BidX1, which is backed by private equity investor Pollen Street Capital, Simpson will oversee the UK growth strategy, including identifying acquisition opportunities, expanding regional auction teams and developing the estate agency referral network.
