New Committee Formed to Support Agents with PropTech Adoption
A new Residential PropTech Committee has been launched by the UK PropTech Association (UKPA) to provide impartial advice and support to estate and letting agents. The committee aims to help agents adopt technology and manage increasing compliance demands.
The committee brings together agents, PropTech firms, and industry bodies, including Propertymark and REACH UK. Its purpose is to identify barriers to technology adoption and improve collaboration across the sector.
The launch comes as agents face rising operational costs, greater compliance requirements, changing consumer expectations, and growing pressure to implement new technology. The committee will run a pilot scheme until December 2026, contributing research, case studies, and recommendations for the Government and the property industry.
The committee is chaired by Philip Farrell, Co-Founder of Offr. The UKPA Managing Director, Sammy Pahal, stated that the committee is focused on helping the industry understand what works in practice, where the challenges are, and how to create better outcomes for businesses, consumers, and the wider property market.
The initiative is designed to support agents in navigating the increasing need for technology within their businesses, particularly as compliance and operational pressures continue to grow.
