NRLA and The Lettings Industry Council Announce New Partnership

The National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA) has announced it is uniting with The Lettings Industry Council (TLIC). The partnership comes shortly after the introduction of the Renters’ Rights Act.

The new structure will see TLIC Chair Theresa Wallace working alongside Ben Beadle, Chief Executive of the NRLA. According to the announcement, the NRLA and TLIC aim to be “a united and influential voice, conveying the concerns of agents and landlords to Government.”

The NRLA represents more than 111,000 members across England and Wales. The Lettings Industry Council includes lettings experts from across the industry, professional bodies and schemes, service providers for both landlords and tenants, and representatives from both large and small lettings agents.

Both organisations have stated their support for greater professionalisation across the private rented sector (PRS). The partnership is intended to provide greater support for members and to champion the work of responsible landlords and letting agents.

This development is relevant for UK letting agents and inventory clerks as it signals increased collaboration between two major industry bodies at a time of significant legislative change.
