Quantum Mortgages Completes Third Public Securitisation, Surpassing £800m

Quantum Mortgages, a specialist buy-to-let (BTL) lender, has completed its third public securitisation, bringing the total funds raised via its Bletchley Park Funding programme to over £800 million. The transaction coincides with the lender’s fourth anniversary and was upsized from an initial target of £286 million to a final placement of £297 million.

The securitised portfolio consists of BTL loans originated by Quantum Mortgages, secured against residential properties in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. According to the lender, the transaction attracted strong interest from a range of institutional investors, reflecting ongoing demand for UK BTL mortgage assets and specialist lending platforms.

The senior Class A notes achieved final book coverage of 1.6 times and were priced at SONIA plus 80 basis points. HSBC acted as lead arranger for the deal, with Citi and Lloyds Bank as joint lead managers. The transaction was sponsored by AB CarVal, Quantum Mortgages’ primary funding partner.

Quantum Mortgages stated that this was the first UK BTL residential mortgage-backed securitisation (RMBS) since the introduction of the Renters’ Rights Act.

This development may be of interest to UK letting agents and inventory clerks, as it highlights continued institutional confidence in the BTL sector and the availability of funding for residential rental properties across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
