Recognise Bank appoints Ronelle Arbib as chief revenue & operations officer

Recognise Bank has appointed Ronelle Arbib as its new chief revenue & operations officer (CROO). The newly-created role brings together the bank's lending and savings, operations, product and marketing functions.

What the new role covers

According to the bank, the restructure is designed to let Recognise Bank identify and respond to market opportunities more quickly, from developing new products and entering new markets and channels through to origination, completion and ongoing customer management.

Arbib has been with Recognise Bank for six years. She joined as head of customer experience in 2020 before becoming chief operating officer in 2022. As COO, she oversaw technology, data, change, product, HR and operations, alongside the end-to-end customer journey.

What this means for brokers

The appointment may interest letting agents and brokers working with Recognise Bank, as the unified structure is intended to cover the full commercial journey, from identifying what brokers and customers need and developing the right products, through to origination, completion and ongoing support.

Recognise Bank chief executive Simon Bateman said Ronelle has played an important role in the bank's development over the last six years and has a strong understanding of its customers and how the bank operates. He described her appointment as a natural next step as the bank positions itself for further growth.

Arbib said she was delighted to take on the new role as the bank enters the next stage of its growth, adding that bringing these functions together gives the opportunity to look at the customer and commercial journey from end to end.

Industry membership

The news follows Recognise Bank joining the Bridging & Development Lenders Association as a lender member last week.
