Senior Hamptons Agent Joins Moveli; Bellway Appoints New West Midlands MD

Mark Barnes, previously associate director at Hamptons, has joined Moveli, according to an announcement from the platform. Bellway has also appointed Martin Wright as managing director of its West Midlands division.

Barnes, who is ARLA qualified and holds NFOPP qualifications, brings 12 years of industry experience to Moveli. He spent more than 11 years at Hamptons, progressing through several senior roles including head of lettings, senior head of lettings, and associate director in Sevenoaks. Barnes specialises in prime lettings and family house sales across Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, and surrounding villages.

Moveli stated that Barnes’s move comes during a period of rapid growth for the platform, with its broker network tripling in size over the past two years. The platform enables property brokers to build businesses around their own names and client relationships, supported by Moveli’s brand, technology, and marketing.

In a separate development, Bellway has appointed Martin Wright as managing director of its West Midlands division, based in Tamworth. Wright, a land and planning specialist with a 25-year track record in the industry, takes on the role following the retirement of the previous managing director, Ben Wright. Martin Wright joined Bellway in May 2025 from David Wilson Homes, where he spent 13 years as development director. He has also worked as a land and planning specialist for both national and regional housebuilders.

These appointments may be of interest to UK letting agents and inventory clerks monitoring leadership changes and growth within the property sector.
