UTB Appoints Frankie Kitchen to Strengthen Buy-to-Let Sales Team

United Trust Bank (UTB) Mortgages has appointed Frankie Kitchen as key account manager to its buy-to-let (BTL) sales team. The move comes as the division prepares to introduce a series of product and criteria enhancements to its BTL proposition.

Kitchen, who joined UTB’s mortgage sales team as a business development manager in September 2024, will work closely with Alex Alexandrou, sales director for BTL and unregulated bridging, and Andrew Ferguson, commercial director for mortgages, BTL and bridging. His role will focus on supporting the bank’s growth strategy in the BTL sector.

Kitchen’s immediate objectives include developing strategic relationships with key broker partners in the BTL market and increasing awareness of UTB’s enhanced BTL proposition. He will also provide intermediaries with regular training, market updates, and direct access to specialist expertise.

Additionally, Kitchen will gather broker feedback and liaise with the underwriting and proposition teams to help shape future product development and improve broker journeys.

UTB has stated that it is making significant investment in its buy-to-let proposition and plans to introduce a range of enhancements to its processes and lending criteria in the coming weeks.

These developments may be of interest to UK letting agents and inventory clerks as changes to BTL lending criteria and processes can impact landlord clients and the wider rental market.
